Yes, that's the normal case. We fish power and signal through the existing wall cavity using a small opening behind the TV and one near the outlet, both hidden once the TV is up. If a firebreak, steel stud, or block wall is in the way, we tell you before drilling anything and offer a paint-matched raceway instead of opening up your wall on a guess.
