AV Troubleshooting & Repair, Palm Beach County. Something in the system stopped working? Max can usually find out why.

Whoever installed it, whatever the brand. Many faults can be identified from a photo and a phone call at no charge, and the rest Max fixes on site without starting over.

Sound familiar?

Expensive equipment. Nobody can explain how it works.

One input shows a black screen. The rears cut out halfway through a movie. There are four remotes on the coffee table and the only person who understood the wiring moved to Georgia.

You don't need a new system. You need someone who can read the one you have. Max traces the signal from source to speaker, finds the actual fault, and fixes that, rather than replacing the whole system.

[ Check any that apply ]
  • No picture or no sound on one input
  • Speakers dropping out or humming
  • Streaming stutters and buffers
  • The original installer stopped answering
  • A closet full of cables nobody can trace

One of these is reason enough to call. Max sees all five regularly.

What Max does

Diagnose it right, fix what's broken, leave it documented.

The order matters. Max doesn't pick up a screwdriver until he knows what's wrong, and doesn't leave until you can explain to the next person what changed.

Remote Diagnostics

Text us a photo or a short video of what's happening. Max reads the gear, the wiring, and the symptom, and tells you straight whether it's a five-minute fix, a visit, or a part. No charge for the call.

System Rescue

On site, we trace the signal path end to end: sources, receiver, HDMI handshakes, speaker runs, network. Faults get fixed at the fault, not patched around, and every setting we change gets written down.

Rack & Cable Cleanup

The closet nobody wants to open becomes a rack any technician could service: runs labelled at both ends, gear ventilated, power sequenced, and a one-page map taped inside the door.

What to expect

01

Diagnosis before the drive

Call or text with what's happening. You'll get an honest read on what it likely is and what fixing it should cost, before anyone drives anywhere.

02

Repair

Max shows up with the parts the diagnosis pointed to, traces the fault, fixes it, and tests every source and every speaker before calling it done.

03

System walkthrough

You see exactly what was wrong and what changed. Remotes get simplified, settings get written down, and you get a number to text if it ever acts up again.

Before you book

AV Troubleshooting questions, answered.

Not sure what's wrong? Send Max a photo of the setup and he'll take a first look. No charge.

  • Most of what we fix, someone else installed. It doesn't matter who, or how long ago. We document what's there, find the actual fault, and tell you what's worth keeping. You're never pushed to replace gear that still works.

Tell Max what's not working.

Send a few details, or better, a photo of the equipment. Many problems can be sized up before anyone drives out, so the visit is the fix rather than the diagnosis.
