What we collect
The only information you hand us directly is what you type into the consultation form. That form asks for:
- Your name, phone number and email address, so we can reach you.
- The kind of help you need, your city, and any notes you add about the setup.
If you call, text, or email us instead, we keep the contact details and the details of the job, the same way any contractor keeps a customer record.
Separately, like almost every website, our hosting provider and analytics tools log technical details when you visit: your IP address, browser type, device type, the pages you viewed and roughly how long you stayed. We use this in aggregate to see which pages people find useful. It is not used to identify you personally.
How we use it
- To respond to your request, quote the work, schedule it and do the job.
- To follow up on a job we did for you, for example if a part comes in or something needs a second visit.
- To keep basic records of the work for warranty and accounting purposes.
- To understand how the website is used so we can improve it.
We do not use your information for marketing lists, we do not send newsletters, and we do not sell, rent or trade your information to anyone.
Calls and text messages
When you submit the form, call, or text us, you are asking us to get back to you, and we may do that by phone call or text message at the number you gave us. These are one-to-one conversations about your project, not automated marketing texts. Standard message and data rates from your carrier may apply. If you would rather we stop texting, reply STOP or just tell us, and we will switch to another way of reaching you.
Who else sees it
We use a small number of service providers to run this website. Each one only receives what it needs to do its job:
- Vercel hosts the website and serves its pages.
- Resend delivers your form submission to our inbox as an email.
- Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics measure site traffic.
- Gmail stores the email once it arrives.
We may also share information if the law requires it, or if it is needed to protect our rights or someone's safety. Beyond that, your information stays with us.
How long we keep it
Form submissions live in our email inbox and are kept as long as they are useful for the job and any follow-up work. Customer and job records are kept for as long as we are in business or as required for tax and accounting purposes. Analytics data is kept according to Google's default retention settings. If you would like something deleted sooner, ask and we will do it unless a legal or accounting requirement says otherwise.
Keeping it safe
The site is served over HTTPS, the form is protected against spam and abuse, and your submission goes straight to our inbox rather than being stored in a database on the site. No system is perfectly secure, but we keep the amount of information we hold small on purpose, which is the best protection there is.
Your choices
- You can ask us what information we have about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Call, text or email and we will take care of it.
- You can decline to use the form and reach us by phone instead. The site never requires an account or a login.
- You can block analytics cookies in your browser at any time.
This site is meant for adults arranging work on their homes and businesses. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18, and if we learn we have, we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
If we add something to the site that changes how information is handled, like online booking or payments, we will update this page and change the date at the top. Continued use of the site after a change means you are fine with the updated version.
